Lana Rybkowski

We are beyond excited to have Coach Lana return to our coaching staff!  Lana coached with us for 3 years from 2018-2020, and is returning to help us develop our younger athletes for the 2025 season.

Lana is a native of Latvia, arriving to the United States in 2004 to play division II volleyball at Northwood University.  After a successful 4 years as an outside hitter at Northwood, she played professionally in Europe both indoors and on the beach circuit for over six years. She spent three years with Clamart in France before spending single seasons in Menora, Spain and Stod, Norway. Rybkowski finished her career playing on the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) beach world tour for a year and a half.  When she completed her playing career, she began coaching at her alma mater where she served as the associate head coach and assistant for a combined 6 years.  In 2024, she accepted the role of Head Coach of Women’s Volleyball at Saginaw Valley State University.
