Coach Sandy has been a volleyball coach and competitor since 1991. She was a collegiate athlete, playing 4 years of Division II varsity volleyball at Saginaw Valley State University, where she majored in Sports Medicine, Education & General Business. In the spring of 2025, Coach Sandy resumed her education and is on track to complete her Bachelor’s degree in General Studies in the spring of 2027, with minors in English and Psychology.
Sandy is currently the assistant women’s varsity coach at Saginaw Valley State University. She has coached school and club athletes at various levels for more than 20 seasons. She has 10 years of corporate sales and account management experience, 4 years of corporate sales training experience, and 3 years of retail management experience. She is a certified Motorcycle Safety Instructor with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the State of Michigan, and is also CPR and First Aid certified.
